Goodbye 2010

Our year in photos:

JANUARY
We rang in the new year in Texas with Matt, Lindsay, and their new babe. Santa brought us (Tucker included) snowshoes for Christmas, so we spent a lot of time in the snow.

FEBRUARY
This was the only picture I took in February, that didn't involve a classroom full of kids. We must have spent most of February sitting on the couch watching the Olympics. We did manage to make it out of the house for a Valentine's Day dinner.

MARCH
In March we found out that Andrew would be working in Oregon for the summer. I spent the month deciding if I would be leaving my job to join him. Loved the kiddos and my co workers, but it turned out to be the best decision ever.

APRIL
All I remember is wonderful weather. We spent a lot of time outside.

MAY
We packed up the Vibe and drove 1800 miles to Hillsboro, Oregon. We miss life in Oregon, and reminisce about it often. BEST SUMMER EVER.

JUNE
Cannon Beach. Mount Hood. Seattle. Pacific Ocean. Portland. Need I say more??

JULY
July was a busy month. We spent the 4th of July in the San Juan Islands, I visited Emily in California, we entertained my parents for a week, and I ran my first duathlon.

AUGUST
We celebrated our 2nd anniversary aboard the Mt. Hood Railroad. Andrew's parents and Aaron visited for a week. Did I mention it was the BEST SUMMER EVER.

SEPTEMBER
We began the long drive back to the Twin Cities. Although we loved life in Oregon, it was nice to be home.

OCTOBER
O-B-A-M-A! We waited in line for 3+ hours to get a quick glimpse at our president. Well worth the wait.

NOVEMBER
Nothing appears to have happened in November, as this is my only photo for the month.

DECEMBER
We spent December celebrating Christmas with our families. We also had a farewell party for my brother, who will be spending the next two years in India working for the State Department. Bon Voyage!

Happy New Year!

First snowshoe

Tucker was so happy to see our snowshoes come up from the basement.

Happy dog.

Leaping through the deep snow. (I wish we had a video of this)

De-icing.

And this is how he spent the rest of his day.

LOVING the sun. I'm pretty sure he is going to do just fine in Arizona.

What does 2 feet of snow look like?

This must be winter's way of saying goodbye to us.

There is a car in there somewhere.

Frozen toes. (He's probably wishing he was wearing his booties).

Brrrr, those are the only pictures my frozen fingers can manage. The windchill is -26 today. Is it too soon to start packing for Arizona?

Waiting...

Finally it's a post full of pictures! You've been waiting, right? Well, I have been waiting patiently for something too. I have been waiting for the mailman to deliver a package. Today he showed up at my door with my new, lovely 50mm prime lens. Merry Christmas to me!! I spent the morning trying it out. Poor Tucker is my usual subject, but today was his lucky day. I turned the camera on our Christmas tree.

Someone is very curious about the tree.

Naughty dog. In truth, I egged him on to get this series of pictures. He would NEVER dream of stealing an ornament from the tree. :)
